NOTICE: HIPAA and the Non-Confidentiality of E-mail

Government regulations (HIPAA) restrict the transmission of any medical data or Medicare/Medicaid information that is not "secure".

Before sending e-mail to anyone at PPCC, please keep in mind that e-mail is NOT a secure medium for exchanging your medical information or for asking medical questions. E-mail is not an acceptable medium for exchanging Medicaid or Medicare information.

If you wish to use e-mail to communicate with PPCC personnel, you must do so under the full understanding that you are not to include any personal medical or Medicaid or Medicare information in the communication.
